Your contribution will be invaluable in helping us shape projects that range from supporting businesses to innovate and export overseas, linking employers to the skills agenda, and helping young people choose the right career, to supporting large scale infrastructure schemes that help unlock developments and digital connectivity. Our focus is on ensuring that our significant economy – covering most of Hampshire and Surrey – continues to grow both here and internationally during a period of considerable change.
We are a notably high-performing and widely respected LEP, with a track record of effective investment that’s helping to drive forward our region’s economic growth. We regard the open and transparent management of public funds as our most important responsibility: our governance has been judged ‘exceptional’, and the government’s Annual Performance Review reaffirmed its positive judgement of our operating model. During lockdown, we have not let up our efforts; in July 2020 we secured an additional £13.3m from Government to support the economy of Hampshire and Surrey, which means that Enterprise M3 has now secured over £250m of Local Growth Fund and £42m of European Funding.
Like many others in our sector, the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic means our focus is on economic recovery. Our region, with its innovative, high tech and knowledge-based businesses is well placed to kickstart that recovery. So while there is bound to be challenge, it’s a stimulating and stretching time to join us, and this role is very important to our continued success. The person appointed will work closely with me, shaping and delivering a dynamic, tailored range of interventions that will consolidate our achievements to date and continue to innovate for the future.
It’s a fantastic career development opportunity, and I look forward to hearing from a strong group of candidates. We have asked Solace in Business to support us in this recruitment, so in the first instance please contact Steve Guest on 020 7976 3311 if you have any queries.
